DUNHUANG CHINESE MUSIC ASSOCIATION
Dunhuang, a representation of the vastly
diverse culture of the Chinese, well known for its artistic relics
of the WEI-JIN Era almost 2000 years ago. It was then, where the
first paintings of the diverse Chinese Musical instruments were
drawn onto the Murals of the Dunhuang Caves. The music was, as
diverse as its culture and its times.
Today, the DCMA seeks to
gather the lovers of Traditional Chinese Music, and put forth what
we think fits the ever forward moving cultures of the orient. We
seek promoters of the Chinese Music to come together to seek what we
think of as the right way and path, be it in terms of quality
instruments, instrumentation of works and even performance
techniques and means.
With of associates in China, Canada, USA,
Japan, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia, we seek to
broaden the ideas of musicality for the Chinese Culture.
